Community Award: Leigh Robartes, station manager for KRFP

During the past two decades as a radio news reporter, Leigh has produced stories for national programs such as Pacifica Network News, Free Speech Radio News, as well as for regional outlets such as Northwest Public Radio and Montana Public Radio. Locally, Leigh has produced and hosted live, call-in candidate forums and public affairs programs.  At Radio Free Moscow, Leigh has been extensively involved in organizing the station from the ground up, and trains volunteer hosts, produces news and helps with programming decisions. 

Junior Award: Anthony Gonzalez

Anthony is an Apparel, Textiles, and Design graduate from the University of Idaho. He serves as president of the Organizacion De Estudiantes Latino Americanos as well as president of UNITY, a coalition of multicultural and diverse student organizations committed to bringing change. A McNair Scholar OMA Diversity Scholar, Anthony has been vocal in standing up in support of marginalized groups at the University of Idaho and the against attacks on our DEI offices around campus.
